Smithsonian K-12 Science Education Action Planning Institute

Please Visit Our Event Page for Upcoming Action Planning Institute Opportunities

The Smithsonian Science Education Center's (SSEC) Action Planning Institute is a fully virtual program designed to address pressing issues in STEM education. Through a series of live and asynchronous meeting opportunities, individuals and teams have the opportunity to tackle the challenge of ensuring K-12 science education serves the needs of all teachers and learners, whether it is taking place online, in the classroom, or in a hybrid learning environment. Participants and presenters share their experiences, expertise, and lessons learned. Participants then created action plans to articulate meaningful connections between their knowledge and practice.

This institute is designed for educators, parents, community members, and industry stakeholders dedicated to providing high quality K-12 teaching and learning for all. Participants attend as individuals or teams with members of their school, district or organization.
