Grade 4 and Grade 5 Field Testing
Do you want to shape science resources of the future? The Smithsonian Science Education Center is seeking 4th and 5th grade teachers who are interested in field testing a 4th grade science or 5th grade science module between September 12, 2023 and January 31, 2024. If you are interested, please complete and return an application by May 26, 2023.
In recognition of this important work, field test teachers who complete the field test and provide feedback will receive the following:
- A full kit of materials to teach one 4th grade or 5th grade module that is yours to keep.
- Direct access to Smithsonian Science Curriculum Developers and fellow teachers across the country. This will include an introductory training meeting, communication throughout the field test, and a reflective discussion at the conclusion of field testing.
- Your name added to the front of the corresponding Teacher Guide.
- Free copy of the updated Teacher Guide.
