Announcing a Free Teacher Leadership Summit in Annapolis, July 19-20!

We are pleased that the Maryland State Department of Education, in partnership with Teach to Lead will host its first Teacher Leadership Summit in Annapolis on July 19-20, 2016.

In Annapolis, educators from across the state will work to collaborate, problem solve, and develop action plans to put their own expertise into action. Our hope is to attract exceptional educators across the state to use teacher leadership as a vehicle to change the face of education.

All active educators are welcome to submit ideas as individuals but we ask that you bring a team of stakeholders (teachers, principals, administrators, school board members etc.) to make the best progress at the Summit. Teams are limited to 5 members; at least one member of your team MUST be a practicing classroom teacher.

Idea submissions are reviewed by a team of teachers. For those who receive an invitation to participate, registration and lodging for those traveling over 50 miles may be provided free of charge. You must cover your travel costs. You can submit an idea for the Summit regardless of where you live, but travel costs are not covered, so please keep that in mind when you apply.
