As part of the Your Place In Space initiative, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) invites you to explore their space-inspired K-12 STEM resources on its agency website. We hope you find helpful materials that equip and empower your students to discover, explore, and create their place in space!
In this educational aid we will discuss launch, spacecraft maneuvering, and re-entry. These three critical areas require robust propulsion systems. We identify key terminology needed to better understand propulsion, go into detail on launch constraints and phases, and identify the propulsion systems used for launches, spacecraft maneuvering and re-entry.
