How Can I Help an Animal Cross the Road Safely?

How Can I Help an Animal Cross the Road Safely?

In this activity, students will read about wildlife corridors, which are paths that animals can take to get safely between two areas with the same habitat. They identify an animal that lives in their area and a road that it will have to cross. They design a way for the animal to cross this road and build a model of their design. This activity is adapted from an activity in a grade 3 engineering module in Smithsonian Science for the Classroom.
